Thousands of rubber ducks floated along the Chicago River to reach the finish line Thursday for the annual Duck Derby. To take part in the race, people pay a fee to sponsor a rubber duck. Proceeds from the event go towards Special Olympics Illinois. The so-called splashdown launched from the Columbus Drive Bridge as crowds watched the ducks float to the finish line.
