They say children are the future, so let’s give them a chance to succeed.

Unfortunately, it appears that the perversions of adults are becoming more of a priority than our kids.

Every week another public official is trying to advance public policies that threaten the health of our youth. It’s either marijuana usage, “gender-affirming” procedures, drag queens as role models or criminal activity. All are equally damaging. Whenever a society ignores the mistakes of its past, it is doomed to repeat them.

There are many examples of doctors experimenting with various types of “gender-affirming health care.” The most recognized was Nazi doctor Joseph Mengele, whose perverse, evil medical experiments included sex-change surgery on Holocaust victims. It amazes me that this country is now doing something Mengele did.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed legislation ensuring access to such “care.” Boston Children’s Hospital recently declared the need to increase education about it. How can we condemn the atrocities done by Mengele and others yet push “gender-affirming care” on our youth? Top Swedish doctors have declared such procedures “experimental at best.”

The political far left has lost all sense of reality. The arrogance of their plan — thinking they can make choices for someone else’s child to the point of ignoring parents when it comes to health decisions — is absurd. Children are their parents’, not the state’s. My mother, like most mothers, would say, “I carried that child for nine months, so don’t tell me how to raise my child.”

I never imagined that so many elements would come together to do such damage to the mental health of our children. I have always believed adults were supposed to prevent children from harming themselves and others. However, in the past two years we have seen the horrific results of the “gender-affirming” mindset.

This country must decide what’s more important to our nation’s future: social perversions or normalcy.
