Thank you for your editorial “FBI’s targeting of Catholics is anti-religious and anti-American” (web, April 13), which chastises the FBI, Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland for spying on the Catholic Church.

What we know so far reveals despicable behavior on their part and it is highly likely that we have not heard the full extent of their spying.

No doubt their motive is to implement President Biden’s obsession with killing the preborn by silencing the church’s opposition proclaiming all life is sacred, from conception through natural death.

Mr. Garland and Mr. Wray are trying to find ways to thwart the church’s influence. How? By looking for something the church might be doing illegally or by trying to uncover any pro-life plans by its parishioners so they can counteract those plans.

When they discover all the good Christians do by caring for the poor and helping pregnant women, perhaps their spies will become double agents, telling Christians the FBI’s plans. Wouldn’t that be justice?
