So-called progressives — including college deans and professors, CEOs and others in leadership positions — have been informing the rest of us of the moral imperative for diversity, equity and inclusion (all as defined by them) within our society.

I thought about this when watching the recent NCAA basketball tournament. While diversity, equity and inclusion are to be given equal weight with true qualifications, skills and ability regarding matters of employment, college and graduate-school acceptance, the awarding of government grants and more, they are obviously given no consideration in determining who gets to participate in college or professional sports. One need only look at the ratio of non-White to White players to see as much.

Progressives and their cohorts seem perfectly OK with this glaring double standard. Should the rest of us be so accepting?
