Fan brawl breaks out at White Sox game over the weekend

Videos posted to social media show a number of men and women trading blows with each other in the seats along the third base line. 

The most aggressive participants in the scrum appeared to be the women, who were seen instigating and throwing punches at each other throughout the roughly 2 minute melee.

A lone security officer walked through the scrum, but that didn’t dissuade the combatants — a woman started punching another woman as the guard walked by and pushed her over a row of seats. 

The brawlers simmered down for a moment. But once one woman threw a bottle at another woman, the commotion restarted. 

Another woman yanked the hair of a woman who was walking past her, causing the woman who had her hair pulled to throw an errant punch and hit the man who was with the instigating woman. He responded by swinging back at her, causing another man to enter the fracas and the brawl resumed in full.

The scrum eventually dissipated without much intervention from security. It’s unclear if anyone was charged for their role in the incident. 

The White Sox won on a walk-off hit in the 10th inning.
