About 20 years ago, then-President George W. Bush coined the term “soft bigotry of low expectations,” the practice of expecting less from members of a disadvantaged group and thus implicitly encouraging them not to reach their full potential. Put another way, this is plain old racism.

With the emergence of “woke” ideology, it has been revealed that the Biden administration and the liberals are the ones practicing systemic racism in the guise of racial equity. They are now showing their true colors (pun intended).

Systemic racism promotes policies and practices that result in giving an unfair advantage to some people and mistreating others based on race. One need only look at the school systems of major cities with a high proportion of Black students and run by liberals to see the dismal educational results.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress, student achievement in many of these urban areas with a high proportion of Black students is lackluster at best and far below state and national averages. Look at Baltimore, where 23 schools have zero students proficient in math, and just 7% of third through eighth graders tested proficient in math and English.

Unfortunately, even higher education system is being infected by the malignant dogma of racial equity. As reported in this paper, some colleges and universities are refraining to give grades to students in certain courses in the name of reducing racism among minority students.

If this isn’t bigotry, I don’t know what is.
