OPINION:
As you sleep, supposedly civilian federal agencies are being armed with guns, ammunition, military equipment and training. The most recent move by the federal government is to hire an additional 87,000 IRS agents and equip them with guns and military training. A prerequisite is that they must be “willing to use deadly force.”
These “military” agents number well over 200,000 with greater than $1.4 billion being spent on military guns and equipment for them so far. These include the Department of Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, the IRS, NASA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Small Business Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Department of Education and more. These individuals now outnumber all active-duty U.S. Marines.
While the federal government, in violation of the Second Amendment, is attempting to take guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens, it is putting guns into its own hands. We are fast becoming the police state history has repeatedly warned us against. Wake up, America!
