The government is stockpiling the anti-radiation-sickness medication Nplate should there be nuclear fallout (“Biden’s unwelcome invocation of ‘Armageddon,’” Web, Oct. 10). Why didn’t they do the same with hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to prevent and treat COVID-19 patients?

When asked about this once, President Biden just turned around and walked away. In the meantime, the FDA, CDC and NIH were telling the American people the drugs were unproven and unsafe. Fortunately for some (myself included), there were doctors who knew these drugs were effective and successfully treated patients with them. Others got judges to order hospitals to allow doctors to treat their patients with these drugs.

The northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh saw new COVID-19 cases plunge 97% after ivermectin/hydroxychloroquine protocols were delivered door to door. A media blackout failed to diminish the state’s great success. Why didn’t they want this good news reported around the world? Shame on the FDA, the CDC and NIH. All the shutdowns, masks, distancing, inconveniences and vaccines could have been avoided had these drugs been widely promoted and distributed.
