Washington Commanders owners Dan and Tanya Snyder have hired Bank of America Securities to “consider potential transactions” of the franchise.

A statement from the team, which the team issued Wednesday, does not say whether the Snyders would sell all of the team or a minority stake.

Dan Snyder bought out three minority partners for $875 million in 2021 to give his family entire control of the franchise.

The announcement comes weeks after Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said he believes there is “merit” to remove Snyder from the NFL in wake of the team’s workplace misconduct scandal.

“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL,” the team said in a statement.
