New York has one last chance to step back from the abyss of pure insanity — by winning the 2022 gubernatorial election. And what does the GOP do with this lone chance at redemption? It allows a circus side show like Andrew Giuliani (the poster boy for white, GOP privilege if there ever was one) to inject himself into the race, where he has no business being.

The younger Giuliani has no support, no money, no staff and most of all, aside from a glorified gopher job in the Trump White House that his old man likely got him, no resume. Somehow the Giulianis have coerced a few media outlets to run with his false narrative that he’s leading in the polls, which is complete nonsense.

If the state GOP had any kind of leadership, it would have shut down the primary right after Lee Zeldin secured the nomination at the party

convention last winter, uniting the party. Instead, we get the Giuliani circus side show, distracting from the issues at hand and giving Democrats fodder on a silver platter.

Rudy Giuliani was indeed a great New York mayor. But by backing his totally unqualified son for the most important office in the state,

he’s become an embarrassment and a political liability to former President Trump, who did him a favor by giving his son a prestigious White House title.
