OPINION:
The sole purpose of the Second Amendment is to prevent federal and state tyranny. We do not have guns for hunting purposes; we have them for military purposes, ultimately to prevent our own legislators from ruling over us instead of serving us.
It is the job of sheriffs, in my opinion, to regulate, train and manage the militia described in the United States code. Look there if you want to have an effect on gun possession that will preserve liberty.
The Bill of Rights is a crucial part of the Constitution. Without it there would be no legitimate government authority.
As ever, it is liberty or death, free speech or death, freedom of religion or death, the right to bear arms or death. The only question remaining is, whose death is it?
