OPINION:
Why are the communist Chinese buying up millions of acres of farmland in the U.S. if not for some destructive purpose (“Florida’s DeSantis scrutinizes Chinese investments in U.S. for ties to Chinese Communist Party,” Web, July 24)? Also, why are the Chinese installing cell towers next to U.S. Air Force bases, where our nuclear weapons are fired? Too much freedom is given to China and what its operatives do in this country.
The Chinese Communist Party is an enemy and should be shut down and blocked from these activities. The way to do this is through eminent domain, wherein the federal government condemns the land at fair market value and enforces the sale to the government of Chinese-owned land. The eminent domain should indicate that the land is to be used for national defense purposes.
