OPINION:
The Biden administration has abdicated its responsibility for immigration and has placed the American people in grave danger (“’More dead bodies’ than Afghanistan: Veterans say southern border is ’war zone,’” Web, July 17). Dangerous Mexican cartels now control our southern border and complete anarchy exists. The administration itself is violating federal laws.
Our sovereignty as a nation is being violated and our states are being invaded. Hundreds of thousands of deaths are occurring annually due to drugs and crimes. Drug, human and child trafficking is taking place. We are being invaded by hardened criminals, gang members and potential terrorists. There is no check on disease.
The number of illegal crossers is staggering and will approach 2 million this year alone. The cost to taxpayers is approaching $315 billion. With a sense of great urgency the states must join in an organized coalition and take control of immigration in America.
