OPINION:
The European Union is an enviable, proven model for nations to live in peace and prosperity. Belarus and Russia should be invited to join it just as Ukraine was, so that they can share in the good.
China should reshape its system so that its neighboring nations want to have it as a mentor and partner, and so it, too can share in the orbit of peace and prosperity. These common-sense moves would greatly benefit all the citizens of the world rather than threaten them.
