During the first half of the Super Bowl, NBC showed a long compilation of celebrities attending the big game. But none of them were wearing masks, and some viewers took to Twitter with their displeasure.
California has an indoor mask mandate, which includes SoFi Stadium just outside of Los Angeles. Almost none of the celebrities shown on the telecast were wearing masks.
Celebrities violating California’s indoor mask mandate — which includes SoFi Stadium just outside of Los Angeles — included LeBron James, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Another video showed Christopher Tucker, Magic Johnson and Mark Wahlberg not wearing masks.

In the fourth quarter, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was shown on the broadcast without a mask while talking with quarterback Russell Wilson.
The mask mandate in California is expected to end Feb. 15, excluding students and staff in school buildings.
