Thrown under the omnibus

OPINION:

The recently passed $1.7 trillion spending bill is disgusting (“Omnibus bill affirms Congress’ budgeting practices that spiked the national debt,” Web, Dec. 27). What’s done is done, and American citizens are the ones constantly being thrown under the omnibus.

Most Americans have no idea what the ruling party and the rest of Washington’s politicians are doing to us, our children and our grandchildren. They’re too focused on all the other nonsense being pushed in our faces while this out-of-control spending travesty continues. It will play out until we Americans become totally lost under the thumb of the hierarchy as we simply try to survive. We are headed over the edge of the proverbial cliff, and are basically doomed.
