I am tired of hearing and reading the virtuous condemnations of former President Donald Trump’s dinner with Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Nick Fuentes (“Democrats using anti-Semitism as political bullet,” Web, Dec. 5). Yes, it was a mistake. I wish he hadn’t done it, and he will pay the political price for it.

But for Holocaust survivors, who remember what it was like living under Hitler, the meaningful acts of a person are more important than something like a lunch. By this I mean consequential actions, such as accepting your daughter’s conversion to Judaism and thus having Jewish grandchildren. Or by being the president who not only promised but delivered on moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and engineering the Abraham Accords. Those are all far more important than the company kept during one meal.
