Just when we thought the worst COVID-19 variant — the Fauci variant — was behind us, he’s back, apparently unsatisfied with the damage he’s already done.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is once again reminding us that he’s still the same man who has been more consistently and shamefully wrong than any other person throughout this pandemic.

Over the weekend, he did a complete 180 by saying it is up to Americans to calculate their own COVID-19 risk. Yet, in the very same interview, Dr. Fauci doubled down on his claim from a recent BBC interview that he sees bringing back indoor masking as the “prudent thing to do.”

In the same BBC interview, Dr. Fauci also alerted Americans that we need to be prepared for the return of lockdowns and expressed reservations about whether it would be possible to ever know if the original lockdowns were ultimately worth it. Meanwhile, it has been readily apparent for some time now to individuals capable of even basic observation and reasoning skills that the lockdowns were incredibly harmful.

Perhaps the most objectionable of Dr. Fauci’s recent statements was his defense of China, claiming they didn’t necessarily cover up COVID-19 or hide key information and details from investigators. Whether he’s choosing to cover his tracks or it’s just a product of his inflated ego, carrying water for the Chinese Communist Party is sadly just par for the course.

To cap off his recent spree, in an interview with CNN of all places, Dr. Fauci placed the blame for American COVID-19 deaths on former President Donald Trump and his administration. Of course, Dr. Fauci neglected to mention that, even with the benefit of therapeutics, several COVID-19 vaccines, and now two years of COVID knowledge, President Biden has seen more Americans die under his watch than under Mr. Trump.

From his first day in front of the podium, Dr. Fauci’s rhetoric has vacillated like a shifting wind and as a result, his credibility is shot. He’s lost the right to direct policies that impact the lives of even a single person in this country, let alone all of us.

From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, our country has never been able to have a second opinion. Dr. Fauci’s word has been followed like gospel — particularly by Democratic politicians — with the rest of America expected to be quiet, fall in line and obey Dr. Fauci’s edicts.

Why haven’t other voices been given space to dissent from the Dr. Fauci narrative? Because left-wing bureaucrats in Washington decided we don’t get a second opinion.

What could be their driving motivation to continue defending a man who is perpetually wrong? It’s simple. The left-wing in America has an insatiable thirst for power and Dr. Fauci is their conduit for aggregating that power. Any divergent opinions become a direct threat to that power and therefore must be attacked and silenced.

In reality, more freedom, more democracy and more voices in the conversation are the answer, not the problem as we are led to believe by people like Dr. Fauci and Mr. Biden.

There are too many people who have been right about how to appropriately handle the pandemic, including many in the scientific and medical profession, for us to continue letting Dr. Fauci lead America into more struggle and suffering.

As Clay Travis said on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Dr. Fauci is “the most destructive bureaucrat in the history of the United States.”

Ask any person diagnosed with a serious medical condition if they’ve received a second opinion from a different doctor. The answer is almost always “yes.” For too long, America has been stuck listening to the opinion of one man. The result has been a laundry list of misdiagnoses leaving the American people to pay the price.

As the saying goes: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. But the American people are no fools. The clock is about to strike midnight on Dr. Fauci’s 15 minutes of fame and he’s ready to gin up more COVID-19 hysteria to maintain his grip on relevancy.

But Dr. Fauci’s days of pulling the wool over the eyes of the American people are over. It’s clear he’s eager to work with Mr. Biden and the COVID-obsessed Democrats to bring restrictions and lockdowns back, but America is ready for a second opinion.
