‘Leaky’ vaccines could be driving variants

OPINION:

Biden is not just playing deadly games with Florida; he is playing deadly games with the whole U.S. population (“Biden’s playing deadly games with Florida,” Web, Sept. 19). From the beginning of the pandemic a vaccine was offered as a way out. The term “vaccine” was soon part of political propaganda for political advantage. No distinction was made between the effectiveness of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine and the mRNA or DNA vaccines offered by the three pharmaceutical companies. For most people, a vaccine is a vaccine — and that would be a big, fat lie.

The MMR vaccine you got as a child was a sterilizing vaccine. It prevented infection as well as transmission. The COVID-19 vaccines do neither. They are “leaky,” non-sterilizing vaccines. Administering these types of vaccines to an infected population with a very mutable virus is a recipe for disaster. As one of the commenters pointed out during the FDA meeting to decide on booster shots, there is evidence the leaky vaccines are evolutionarily driving the new variants. Those variants are most decidedly not coming from the unvaccinated.

There is a high possibility that the vaccinated population is headed toward antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE). This is a worsening of the disease because of antibodies that are now 18 months out of sync with the viral variants. The biggest sin in all of this is that 300,000 to 400,000 people could have been saved with early treatment rather than having been sent home to wait until their lips turned blue.

It is a sin committed not only by the medical profession, but also the FDA, CDC and NIAID (NIH). This sin continues now, but with monoclonal antibodies. The out-of-date vaccines are offered up, but will only create more variants and asymptomatic spreaders, which are your worst nightmare in a pandemic.
