OPINION:
Craig Shirley’s “Embracing the GOPs conservative heritage” (Web, May 4) should hit home for every air-breathing, security-minded, freedom-loving, capital-investing American patriot.
While both major political parties attempt to redefine “infrastructure,” both need to grasp the fundamental systems of nature’s infrastructure which compose the foundation of all progress. We take it for granted at our own peril.
Those who oppose the passage of Protecting America’s Wilderness Act need to answer one question. What part about the “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” don’t you understand?
Maximizing every American’s freedom, security and prosperity requires that we protect this vital natural infrastructure — or face the restricting, hazardous and bankrupting consequences of again ignoring the fundamental principles our nation’s founding.
