The Family Research Council announced Wednesday it has launched a new project aimed at helping “Christians develop and live by a biblical worldview.”

The Center for Biblical Worldview “will also train Bible-believing Christians to advance and defend the faith in the workplace, in the schools, in their communities, and in the public square,” the pro-family group said in its announcement.

“Christians have a duty to stand against the prevailing cultural tides and proclaim God’s truth to a dark and wandering world. … The Center for Biblical Worldview is designed to give Christians a firm foundation so that they can engage the culture by being rooted in God’s Word,” Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, said in a statement.

Researcher George Barna and theologian Owen Strachan will be senior fellows at the center.

Mr. Barna, a longtime Christian demographer, heads the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University in Glendale. He is noted for studies that have contrasted what Christians say they believe with what their answers to specific questions reveal.

Mr. Strachan is the new provost and research professor of theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary in Conway, Arkansas. In 2015, Mr. Strachan wrote “The Colson Way,” presenting to millennial readers the worldview of the late Prison Fellowship founder Chuck Colson.

David Closson, who will head the worldview project, said surveys and polls are “not the only or even our main focus.”

“Our plan is to produce content for pastors and churches such as Sunday School curriculum, books, booklets, devotionals, a video series, podcasts, and other resources to help Christians think through issues through the lens of Scripture,” Mr. Closson told The Times. “The purpose of these resources is to help Christians apply their faith to all areas of life which is the goal of everything we will produce.”

He said the group had redesigned several booklets promoting biblical worldviews on various topics and has made those and related videos available online at https://frc.org/worldview.
