The violence and mayhem that occurred in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and other American cities in 2020 resulted in $2 billion of property damage and was accompanied by over 50 murders. That killing, looting and arson has been imaginatively described as a summer of love and a “mostly peaceful protest.” Mayors and governors said they didn’t want law- enforcement personnel ’interfering.’

By contrast, people involved in January’s D.C. march (a comparative few of whom behaved destructively) are described as “insurrectionists” who threaten the very foundation of our republic. Yet unlike with antifa types, no guns were taken from those trespassing Capitol facilities. In fact an unarmed woman was even shot, a killing which has been largely ignored. Did this woman attack or struggle with the police officer who killed her (as did George Floyd and Jacob Blake)? Or was this cop the super-nervous type who shouldn’t have had a badge or gun? Why does no one seem to care?

In response to that weaponless protest, five times the number of troops stationed in Afghanistan were deployed to D.C. to “protect” politicians. From what? Imaginary bogeymen created for unending political theater. The FBI is pursuing participants of thiat march, one of whom “shoved a police officer.” But this participant didn’t utilize a brick or frozen water bottle (as is commonlydone in attacks in New York); he used his hands. A prison sentence and punishment awaits this “violent” man.

We are told January’s unarmed, largely peaceful protest represents the greatest threat in history to our nation. The authors of this fantasy better be careful, lest a member of mainstream media finally tire of carrying their water.
