ST. LOUIS (AP) - A woman was killed and two other people injured Saturday when a car went airborne after striking a curb and slamming into two trees, police said.

A passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Domonique Hick of St. Louis died at a hospital, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. A 2-year-old girl was in critical but stable condition.

The 28-year-old man driving the vehicle was taken to a hospital where he was listed as stable, police said.



The 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser was approaching a traffic circle at a high rate of speed when it did not stop at a stop sign and struck a curb on the inside of the circle, police said. The car then went airborne and struck two trees in the circle.
