SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) - A woman was killed Thursday when her car crashed into a van on Long Island, police said.
Kerry Probst was driving westbound in Shirley around 8:20 p.m. and crossed the center line at a fork in the road, colliding with an eastbound Ford Econoline van, police said.
Probst, 46, of East Moriches, was pronounced dead at a hospital. The driver of the van, a 30-year-old man from Mastic Beach, was not hurt.
