ANAMOOSE, N.D. (AP) - Two people have been killed in a head-on crash in McHenry County.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 52 near Anamoose about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The patrol said a 29 year-old man from Harvey was trying to pass a semi on the two-lane highway and collided with an oncoming vehicle.



The driver was flown to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment of his injuries. A 55-year-old man and 49-year-old woman in the oncoming vehicle died at the scene of the crash. They were from Martin, KOVC reported.

No identities have been released. Troopers were assisted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, Anamoose Fire and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
