WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A Wichita woman accused of hitting a man who was riding a bicycle and then shooting him has been charged with first-degree murder.
Charity Blackmon, 31, was also charged Tuesday with being a felon in possession of a gun. Bond was set at $250,000, KWCH reported.
Wichita police allege Blackmon hit Rabus, 54, on Friday and then got out of her car and shot him. He died later at a Wichita hospital.
Blackmon and Rabus did not know each other, police said.
Blackmon fled the scene but was later arrested after witnesses followed her.
Her next appearance was scheduled for April 8.
