OPINION:
What is this world coming to when someone is willing to celebrate the release and purchase of a pair of tennis shoes that are decorated with a pentagram pendant, marked with the number 666 and contain a drop of human blood in the sole? Rapper Lil Nas X is releasing 666 pairs of just such shoes.
No amount of clever advertising can hide the fact that both Lil Nas X and company MSCHF, as well as the accompanying rap video, are explicitly glorifying Satan. I think we all would be better served if the rapper and the streetwear company were more interested in people’s eternal “souls” rather than their earthly “soles.”
