ARNOLD, Mo. (AP) - Police in eastern Missouri have identified a driver and passenger killed in a single-car crash in Arnold this week.
Joseph Resinger, 34, of St. Louis, and Alexis Summers, 19, of Imperial, died from their injuries, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Investigators said the crash happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday when the car Resinger was driving ran off the road and hit a utility pole. Resinger, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, police said.
Summers was a passenger in the car and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to investigators. Police said she was thrown from the vehicle and taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
