NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee arrested a woman on charges of selling her car to a 13-year-old who then caused a fatal crash, officials said Wednesday.
Katrina Russell, 37, was charged with vehicular homicide by recklessness and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Metro Nashville news release said.
The 13-year-old was involved in a two-car crash on March 5. The other driver, David Cheatham, 71, of Nashville, died at the scene, police said.
Court records say the teen told police that Russell knew his age and gave him the keys to her car in exchange for $80, news outlets reported.
