LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Big Brother knows worst

OPINION:

It is time to read and apply to our current lives George Orwell’s 1949 smash hit, “1984.” Seventy years later we are living the nightmare. We have Big Brother ruining the economy, and destruction of the welfare of a free and open society.

Masks and shutdowns have been proven ineffective. Those with known risk factors are aware of how to take care of themselves, as they always have been. Some workplaces require the vaccine; now we have lost control over our bodies, it seems.

History and statues are being toted off. Should not they remain to warn us against repeating history?
