COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Dry conditions and high winds made it difficult for firefighters to battle a brush fire along Interstate 89 in Colchester.
Part of the interstate was reduced to one lane around 5:30 p.m. Monday, causing significant traffic delays.
Firefighters worked on the fire from multiple locations. It was eventually contained and extinguished.
The cause of the fire was unknown, but police say it does not appear to be suspicious.
