ALPINE, Utah (AP) - Four people were caught up in an avalanche in the mountains of north-central Utah on Sunday morning, but no one was buried, Utah County officials said.

Two people suffered leg and ankle injuries in the slide northeast of Alpine, the sheriff’s office said.

The other two people were uninjured, KUTV-TV reported.

It was not immediately clear what triggered the avalanche.
