MENDON, Vt. (AP) - A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing U.S. Route 4 in the town of Mendon, Vermont State Police said.

An unknown vehicle was traveling west at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday near the Killington Pico Motor Inn when it hit the pedestrian, who was later pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of relatives.



The investigation into the incident is continuing.
