After many fits and starts to stem illegal traffic across our southern border, the Trump administration worked with Mexico to enforce a workable arrangement that kept migrants in Mexico while legal procedures went forward (“Mike Pompeo on border crisis: Biden ‘threw away all the good work we had done,’” Web, March 10).

In an unthinking, anti-Trump reflex, the Biden administration canceled what had been working at the border — and now we have what most of us believe is a crisis (but which Biden messaging flacks are calling a ‘challenge’).

Challenge it is. But I want to know just how much of one — teensy-weensy or somewhat bigger?
