WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - One person died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in northeastern Wichita that shut down a stretch of Interstate 135 for several hours, police there said.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at I-135 and 13th Street, television station KSNW reported. Investigators determined that one car rear-ended another, sending that car over a guardrail of the elevated interstate to the ground below.
Police said a person in the car that remained on the interstate died and two others were injured. The driver of that vehicle sent over the side of the interstate was being treated at a hospital, police said.
The crash shut down a stretch of the interstate for several hours.
