SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities are offering a $500 reward in the search for the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Sparks that seriously injured a motorcyclist over the weekend.
Sparks police say the motorcyclist was hit by a mid-sized car that ran a red light just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Victorian Avenue and El Rancho just north of Interstate 80 on the west end of Sparks.
Police are looking for a gray or blue Subaru Legacy with Nevada plates. It most likely was a model year between 2010 and 2014 and probably has damage to the front end.
A 40-year-old man was ejected from the motorcycle, which then hit another vehicle before coming to rest. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for serious injuries. His condition wasn’t known on Monday.
