OPINION:
Stories like “Sex offenders surge into U.S. amid wave of illegal immigration” (Web, May 17) are becoming routine along the southern border. Furthermore, statements from the Biden administration are absolutely amusing — that is, if anyone honestly believed that the Democrats care who gets in this country as long as they think they will vote Democrat.
What is hard to fathom, however, is the existence of so many moderate Democrats looking the other way, as our cities and towns are flooded with sex perverts, criminals and gang members. And it’s happening for only one reason: Democratic politicians are willing to accept criminal and sexual attacks on innocent Americans merely for the potential of future Democratic votes, even if “mailed” in from prison.
I keep wondering, however, if good Christian Latino voters and their children might ultimately tire of being robbed and raped by Democrat-invited illegal immigrants, and shock the politicians by pulling levers for law-and-order Republicans down the road. For as President Lincoln is said to have once opined: “[Y]ou you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
