OPINION:
“Tracing Adam Schiff’s Subpoena hypocrisy” (Web, June 21) stunned me. Courts have concluded that Congress can secretly subpoena any citizen with no limits. This power is unlike any other power of the government to intrude into a citizen’s life. Of course, Mr. Schiff used this power to obtain records of his party’s political opponents and fellow members of Congres. No surprise there. However, he, Nancy Pelosi and all those who support their progressive, Marxist agenda better start looking over their shoulders (or rather rifling through all their records) because when the Republicans take control of the House, the worm will turn just as it did on the Democrats in the Senate when they blew up the filibuster on judicial appointments.
The result: appointment of three conservative Supreme Court justices. I would expect in 2022 that every Republican chair of a House committee will let fly a flurry of subpoenas for all relevant emails and documents of Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Jack Dorsey of Twitter, Sunder Pichai of Google and all those Democratic sycophants parading as journalists at CNN and MSNBC. These individuals did all they could to deny access to social media and the press by conservatives, starting with former President Donald J. Trump.
Wouldn’t that be a treasure trove of hypocrisy. I can’t wait to watch the spectacle. We all know what happens in a cockroach-infested room when you turn on the lights.
