OPINION:
While “Biden says families in condo collapse raised climate change as possible cause” (Web, July 1), was it a major diplomatic faux pas or deference to the anti-Semitic elements of the Democratic Party that kept the president from properly recognizing the Israel Defense Forces delegation at the building collapse in Sunrise, Florida? These individuals specialize in search-and-rescue at bombed-out, destroyed buildings, and they are now working with our finest first responders at the site.
Instead of climate change, Biden should be more concerned about the cancerous effect of rust expansion of rebar in water-permeable concrete, which could contribute to structural failure.
