HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Two teenagers were killed when their car hit a tree early Saturday morning and a back-seat passenger was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.

Driver Omar Lawrence, 17, and front-seat passenger Shamar Williams, 19, were found dead scene at about 12:30 a.m., according to Hartford police. Both of the teenagers were from Hartford.

An unidentified 22-year-old man who was in the back seat had to be extricated from the 2005 Acura TL and was taken to the hospital, authorities said.



Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
