LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Lots of ‘devotion’ — in name only

OPINION:

Thanks to Cal Thomas for examining the contradiction between President Biden’s advertised status as a “devout Catholic” and his support for unrestricted legal abortion (“Joe Biden: A liberal wolf in a moderate sheep’s clothing,” Web, Jan. 27). Mr. Biden has a well-documented history of plagiarism and lying about his credentials, so this particular affront to common sense should surprise nobody. However, what may be equally noteworthy are the president’s fellow “devout” Catholics, even among the clergy, who do not forcefully protest. One wonders whether they are also enabling the appalling toll on innocent human life caused by the abortion tragedy.
