BALTIMORE (AP) - Seven people have been shot and one person fatally stabbed in the opening days of the new year in Baltimore.
The Baltimore Sun reports one of the shootings was fatal. On Saturday night, a 69-year-old man was shot and became the city’s second homicide of the year amid a violent weekend.
Police said 33-year-old Tiffany Wilson died Friday after being stabbed. That was the first homicide of the year in Baltimore.
Lakeyria Doughty was arrested Saturday and charged with killing Wilson. Doughty is known for her dirt bike skills and her role in an HBO film about the city’s riding culture.
