Democrats and the mainstream media believed the lie that former President Trump colluded with Russia — until the Mueller report proved them wrong. As it turned out, high-level FBI officials plotted to unseat Mr. Trump. Democrats now believe he caused the Jan. 6 riot and that there was no Democrat-led voter fraud in the 2020 election. They are about to be shown they were wrong there, too.

Hate is blinding their better judgment. Democrats aren’t trying to impeach Mr. Trump because they believe he did something wrong; they are shaking in their boots that he will return to politics in some fashion and continue the fight against “the swamp” and all it represents. They know he is far more popular than Sleepy Joe, who will probably be stepping aside soon.

There is what might be called rational hatred, and then there is the kind of hatred the Democrats have for Mr. Trump. There probably isn’t anyone who hates Mr. Trump more than Rep. Maxine Waters; she has said he should be “stopped dead in his tracks, impeached and then destroyed.” Her anti-Trump rhetoric has been on display since Mr. Trump became president. Other Democrats follow suit in their own way, with the same hate. Never has there been such vitriol from a political party. Jesus has some words of advice for people who hate: “Whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of judgment. And whoever says, ’you fool,’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” (Matthew, 5:22)

Democrats need to cool it and repent for this behavior for their own sakes. There is no place in the kingdom of God for hatred, only those who love God and their neighbor.
