BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol on Saturday released the name of a man killed while walking on a highway south of Huff.
Alex Azure, age 43, was standing in the northbound lane of the highway when he was hit by a vehicle late Thursday, according to the police. Several people had called the highway patrol to report that he was walking in the roadway, and troopers were on their way to the scene when he was hit.
The highway patrol said the driver was unable to avoid striking Azure, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was from Bismark.
