OPINION:
One of the lead stories on CNN this week has been about the president’s 100 last-days pardons (including clemencies). Worth noting is that in January 2017, the outgoing president, Barack Obama, issued 1,927 pardons and commutations in his final days. In his last week in office Bill Clinton issued 456 pardons and clemencies. But of course the radical, socialist press is taking a last shot at President Trump, whom it has been working for four years to evict from office.
And by the way, the expressed purpose of impeachment according to our Constitution is solely to remove the president from office for certain criminal or treasonous acts. As such the Pelosi/Schumer/Schiff/Nadler cabal attempting to impeach the president after Mr. Trump is out of office is legally mute. The Capitol dogs pressing for this have no basis for continuing to pursue the action when the subject is not holding the office from which they want to remove him.
Yesterday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” talking heads were condemning the censorship by the social-media networks. Really? This coming from MSNBC? Wow, maybe they realize how horribly biased they have been these past four years — or maybe they just are useless talking heads stirring up controversy in an attempt to get more people to tune in and watch their advertisers’ commercials.
