BROOKVILLE, Kan. (AP) - An Oklahoma woman died in a rollover crash in north-central Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. Sunday on Kansas Highway 140 about 2 miles (3.21 kilometers) east of Brookville when a pickup truck experienced a tire blowout and the driver lost control of the vehicle, Wichita television station KAKE reported. Investigators said the truck went into a ditch and rolled, throwing both the driver and a passenger from the vehicle.
The passenger, Lori Wilkett, 53, of Panama, Oklahoma, died at the scene, the patrol said. Officials said the 50-year-old driver from Kanopolis, Kansas, was not seriously injured.
