I was not surprised to read that President Biden’s Justice Department dismissed the federal government’s lawsuit against Yale University alleging discrimination in admittance of Whites and Asian-Americans (“Biden drops Trump administration’s Yale suit claiming bias against Asian, White students,” web, Feb. 3). It fits nicely into the fundamental Democratic principle of what I call “chameleon identity politics.”

Democrats’ “identity politics” change as the political-identity preference blows. In support of white supremacy, Democrats embraced slavery and fought a war to preserve it. After losing, they created the Ku Klux Klan to continue the oppression of African-Americans. They codified, promoted and protected racism in the Jim Crow laws. They stood at the doors of schools holding axes to prevent African American children from entering. Then it was white supremacy they supported.

Oh, and let’s not forget that it was a Democratic president who rounded up U.S. citizens and families of Japanese descent and locked them up in camps during World War II. It’s no wonder Biden’s DOJ withdrew the lawsuit against Yale’s discriminatory admissions practices.

The Democratic Chameleon Party is now returning to its racist roots by denying Asian-Americans their day in court. Oddly, they are also denying white applicants their day in court. It’s mind-numbing how that Democratic “identity politics” thing works.
