ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two people were arrested after a shooting death that led to a police chase Wednesday in north St. Louis, police said.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting in the Baden neighborhood found a man outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police spokeswoman Officer Michelle Woodling said.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting but the driver refused to stop, prompting a chase, KSDK reported.
The car was disabled with a tire deflation device. The suspects attempted to flee on foot but they were taken into custody.
One officer suffered a knee injury and the other was treated for minor injuries to his hands.
No other information has been released.
