ONTARIO, Calif. (AP) - A suspect was fatally shot during a Southern California police pursuit early Tuesday, authorities said.
The Ontario Police Department tweeted that the shooting occurred after the suspect’s vehicle rammed three police units.
No officers were injured.
The brief statement gave no information on why the person was being pursued or the person’s identity.
KTLA-TV reported that a female passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was taken in to custody.
Ontario is about 35 miles (56.3 kilometers) east of Los Angeles.
