ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - One of three suspects in a drive-by shooting that left a 2-year-old girl dead in St. Joseph has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Caimon Stillman, 21, of St. Joseph, entered the plea Monday in the Aug. 9 death of Raelynn Craig.

Prosecutors said the child was killed when a car she was in was hit by gunfire from a passing vehicle in a St. Joseph neighborhood. Two adults with Raelynn were injured.

During Monday’s hearing, Stillman said he was a passenger in the car where the shots originated, The St. Joseph News-Press reported.

His sentencing is scheduled for April 23.

The two other suspects in the case, Marcain Kimbrough-Ballard and Te’Avion Hawkins, have court hearings scheduled this month. They are also charged with second-degree murder.
